The PSYL is ready for signups!

Puget Sound Youth League

PSYL Baseball is about Development. The game of baseball is FUN but it is built around failure.  These challenges give us an opportunity to teach how to overcome it.  How to get back up, train better, be smarter and communicate more effectively.  We are about developing at all phases associated with baseball.  We are training all aspects on the field, operations, managing and officiating.  The environment is conducive to learning and the further progression of each individual's growth in baseball and life

· Puget Sound Collegiate League, Thurston County Senators and WC Guns coaches & players

· Utilizing the college players’ allows us to challenge each individual ability level

· We will be using multiple fields at the same time. Allowing us to move players to the appropriate field for the skills being focused on for that game

· Games will be stopped and everyone will be instructed on various baseball situations using the college players to demonstrate

· New coaches will rotate through the program to ensure players are getting information in different ways

· Developmental League teams will not practice outside of the allotted times

· Each player will get a PSYL hat

Junior Senators (Ages 6-12) at RAC & FAIRGROUNDS

Ideal for players transitioning into a faster paced, kid pitch baseball experience. Correct baseball habits will be forefront of instruction. Players will learn how to be organized, correct preparation & mechanics, responsibilities of any position they are interested in, an approach and plan in all aspects of the game. Everyone will have an opportunity to pitch. To keep the action moving we do not have walks, a college player or coach will step in and throw if we struggle throwing strikes. This also allows us to challenge players who might need to see a little more velocity at the plate.
